Sense Project

a Head & Hands initiative
  • Get Involved!

    The Sense Project is all about youth PEER EDUCATION - young people getting involved with other young people to provide useful information and support about sexual health.

    If you are a teen between 12-18, you can get involved as a Sense peer educator. People between the ages of 17-25 can volunteer as Sense animators.

    ~~~~~~
    Sense animators are volunteers who facilitate sex education workshops in schools and other community spaces. Animators are trained every September to be ready to go into high schools shortly after the school year starts. Training focuses on the three Sense sexual health workshops, FAQs that arise in the classroom and general facilitation skills. We are currently recruiting new Sense animators for the 2011-12 school year!  Get more info about applying here!
    If you want to be a peer educator for your school or community, or just get more involved, please get in touch with Nikki at 514-481-0277 or by e-mail at healthed@headandhands.ca. This is a great way to learn more, make connections to other youth excited about sex education, or get help working on projects or campaigns in your own school or community.
