Sense Project

a Head & Hands initiative
  • Peer Educators

Head & Hands has a new and exciting way for youth to get involved! Every month, we will have a drop-in session open to all youth ages 12-18. These are informal hang-outs for youth who want to talk about sex, sexual health, and sexuality. There will be workshops, discussions, activities and games, possibly movies, always free food, and not mention condoms and lube! This is a great way to learn more, make connections to other youth excited about sex education, or get help working on projects or campaigns in your own school or community. Youth who come to five or more sessions will receive a peer educator certificate at the end, though we also encourage participants to come to as many as they are interested in, even if it’s only one session!  If you want to come or want more info, call Nikki at 514-481-0277 or email her at healthed@headandhands.ca.

Drop-ins will be located at Head & Hands (5833 Sherbrooke West). The next two dates for drop-in are:

Wednesday, October 27th: “Let’s Talk About Sex”

Monday, November 29th: “All About HIV/AIDS” (just in time for World AIDS Day on Dec. 1!)
