Some need-to-know info about applying to be a Sense Project animator:

• New animators must be aged 25 and under
• We’re looking for people who can commit to being an animator for the entire school year (Sept-early Dec, Jan-May)
• Animators should have at least some availability on weekdays during the day. Some evening and weekend availability is appreciated too. Last year’s animators volunteered an average of 65 hours each throughout the school year, but how much you end up volunteering depends on your schedule and your availability.
• Bilingualism is not mandatory, but it’s an asset if you are comfortable animating in French. The working language of the training is English.
• It is also an asset if you have previous animation experience or experience working with youth, but it’s not a requirement.
• It is mandatory to attend the full animator training (see dates below)

Head & Hands, a non-profit community organization dedicated to youth empowerment, is looking for an Event Coordinator to coordinate Faggity Ass Fridays, a monthly queer dance party benefiting the Sense Project. This is a contract position working 15-20 hours per month.  Skills required: event planning, familiarity with Montreal queer community, strong organization and trouble-shooting skills, communication and media skills. Assets include bilingualism and previous experience with the event. Coodinateur(trice) de l’événement Vendredis Faggity-Ass

A deux mains, un organisme communautaire à but non lucratif dédié à l’autonomie des jeunes de 12 à 25 ans, est à la recherche d’un(e) Coordinateur(trice) de l’événement Vendredis Faggity-Ass, une levée de fonds « queer » mensuelle pour le Projet sens.  Ceci est un contrat de 15-20 heures par mois. Le candidat idéal possède les compétences suivantes: expérience dans l’événementiel, connaissance de la communauté « queer » montréalaise, sens de l’organisation, compétences en communication et relations médiatiques. July 25th! Save the date for our fifth annual bar and restaurant beach volleyball tournament, SERVE! Local bar and resto staff form teams, face off on the Jeanne-Mance courts, and raise money for sex education.
