Uninfected people can get HIV when bitten by an infected mosquito. TRUE or FALSE?FALSE!!!
There is no scientific evidence to support this claim. Plus, when a mosquito bites someone, it injects saliva (not blood) to feed more effectively. And, the HIV virus can’t survive in mosquitoes long enough for it to be transmitted in this way (unlike Malaria, for instance). Plus, once full, mosquitoes don’t keep on feeding…
